Users can now access video clips of their favorite players in all GameChanger goal sports (soccer, field hockey, hockey, lacrosse, and water polo). After a game that is both scored and streamed, clips of goals will appear within the player’s profile under the Video Clips tab. These clips can then be viewed, downloaded, edited, shared, and deleted.
How Automatic Clipping Works
For goal sports games that are both scored and streamed, clips will be generated from goals for each player. Coaches, Confirmed Family Members, and Fans can view these clips after the game from the Video Clips tab on the player profile. The performance of the clips is reliant on a consistent stream and the scorekeeping data provided by the scorekeeper. Once a play is logged we generate a clip off of that data, so scoring in real-time is essential to ensure accurate clip creation.

3. When clips are present, tap on the More icon and select Share Clip.
4. When the download is complete, a share sheet will appear with different sharing options and the ability to save to your device.

FAQ
Is there anything special I need to do while scoring to generate clips?
Make sure you assign the play (goal) to a player on your roster in real-time. If you choose the ‘Assign Later’ option, a clip will not generate and you won’t see it anywhere. If you assign a play to a certain player and then edit it to another player, a clip will not generate for the new player. The clip will be assigned to the original player.
What if a clip is inaccurate or misses the play?
The performance of the clips is reliant on the scorekeeping data provided. The closer the play can be scored in relation to when it occurred, the better. In the instances where the clip generated does not capture the accurate play, you can edit your own clips using the Video Editing functionality.
Who has access to the clips?
Clip access is based on the Audience Controls the Live Stream was set to. If the game is streamed to Players and Family only, fans will not have access to view clips from those streams. Only Staff, Confirmed Family, and players have the ability to delete clips.
What types of plays generate clips?
Clips are automatically generated for goals.
I am having difficulty sharing my clip to social media right after download, what do I do?
Different social media platforms have varied sharing restrictions; if you are unable to share directly from the GC app we recommend you save your clip to your local device and edit it appropriately before sharing to social media.
