With just a few taps, you can watch live videos of your favorite teams playing from within the GameChanger app. This is a free feature for all GameChanger users.
How to View a Live Stream
Before viewing a Live Stream, it is important to understand that the team's staff is able to control what audience level has access to the stream. Team staff have the ability to stream to “Players & Family Only” or "Anyone". Streams set to "Players & Family Only" will not be accessible to fans and users should request team access to be able to view.
1. From Push Notification: When your team begins streaming a game, you will receive a push notification on your device. Tap the notification to bring you right into the team’s stream.
2. From an Event on the Schedule: If you look at your team's schedule you will see a camera icon next to any event that is currently being streamed. Tap on the event and go to the Video tab, and you will see the stream right at the top of your screen.
3. From the Teams Tab: At the top of your list of teams, you will see any video streams that are currently live from teams you’re connected to. Select the stream that you want to view, and you will be taken right into the stream.
4. From the Team Details: If you select or search for a team and go into the Video tab, you will see any active streams for that team. You will also be able to access the team's previously streamed games.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My team is playing and I don’t see a video stream, what is going on?
A: If you aren’t seeing a stream available then this may mean that the team staff has not started streaming yet. Team staff can also control audience access to the stream and choose whether or not to allow fans, so you may need to be a confirmed member (family member, player, or staff) to be able to access the live video. If you aren't sure if your team is allowing fans to watch the game, please reach out to a staff member from your team.
Q: Why is my video freezing, blurry, etc?
A: Streaming video requires a strong internet connection for both the streamer and the viewer. If the quality of your stream goes down then it may mean that either you or the streamer has a weak connection.
Q: Why does it say that the live stream is paused?
A: This means that the staff member streaming the game has stopped doing so. This could be due to the staff member exiting the app or putting it in the background.
Q: How do I exit the video stream?
A: You can exit the stream at any time by hitting the X button in the top left corner of the stream. Doing so will take you back to the app’s home screen.
Q: Will I be able to re-watch live streamed games after they're over?
A: Premium subscribers can access the Video Archives feature to rewatch previously streamed games. You will see previously recorded games within the Video section as well as within the Event itself.
